The Director General of the National Museum of Tanzania Dr Noel Biseko Lwoga is in China to attend the Third Global Museum Directors Forum 2024.

The forum that was opened on 19th June 2024 by Mr. Sun Yeli, the Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism,  was honored by the presence of Mr. Ernesto Ottone - the UNESCO Assistant Director General for Culture and leaders of national museums from more than 40 countries from Africa, Europe, Asia, Middle East and North and South America.

Dr Lwoga presented a paper on the National Museum of Tanzania's Strategy for Public Engagement and potential areas for collaboration with global museums, especially in research, preservation and technology.

The Third Global Museum Directors Forum 2024 that is taking place in China under the coordinatorship of the National Museum of China.

Dr. Noel Biseko Lwoga, the Director General of the National Museum of Tanzania being well received at the National Museum of China by Mr. Gao Zheng, the Director of the National Museum of China. The two CEOs had a meeting to discuss collaborations in areas of museum research, exhibition and digital technology following the recent launch of the Tanzanian tourism film named "Tanzania Amazing" in China and the China-Tanzania Tourism and Culture
