EXCAVATION / COLLECTORS LICENCE

(For a Permit Issued under section 10 of the Written Laws (Miscellaneous Amendments), (No. 3) Act, 2022, Amendment of the Antiquties Act (CAP 333)

Special Terms and Conditions applying to this License:

(a)  Not transferable

(b)  Licensee not to enter upon any land/ property and conduct research without the consent of the owner of the land/property.

(c) All materials collected from the field must be inventoried and submitted to the Director General of the National Museum of Tanzania.

d) Section 14 of CAP 333: In case of a need for Export of relic from Tanzania for further analysis, a request must be made to the Director of Antiqutities.

(d) Submission of a preliminary report of the research to the Director General of the National Museum of Tanzania within three months of the expiry date of this license.

(e) The Licensee must pay five percent (5%) of the research budget to the National Fund for Antiquities before the license is issued.

(f) The Licensee must strictly confine research to the area(s) specified in this license.

(g) Failure to conform to the conditions imposed; the licence shall be terminated or canceled
